APIL campaign for fairness for victims.

Cohen Cramer Solicitors support the campaign by APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) for fairness to loved ones in the event of an accident leading to death or psychiatric damage.

The Fatal Accidents Act 1976 sets out the parties who are entitled to make a claim for bereavement (currently set at £12,980); this is a narrow list and ignores the reality of many long-term relationships where the parties have chosen not to marry or undergo a civil service.
