Despite known risks, for many years the Ministry of Defence is continuing to fail to properly treat and diagnose brain injuries of those who are exposed to blast-related trauma. This can result in a higher risk of death amongst troops. Traumatic brain injuries are often wrongly diagnosed as post-traumatic stress disorder which has life-long consequences for those involved and their families unless there is an early therapeutic intervention.

Diane Davison, Head of Military Claims at Cohen Cramer is urging the Government to provide funding to urgently address this issue to ensure those in higher-risk groups are identified early and appropriate treatment given to avoid needless deaths.
