Mike Massen qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and has been practicing personal injury law for the vast majority of his professional career.

With general expertise in all areas of personal injury work, Mike has a particular interest in and specialist knowledge of applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, dealing with needlestick injury claims and civil claims following sexual assault in the workplace.

Prior to joining Cohen Cramer Solicitors, Mike was the principal solicitor at Garton’s Solicitors. Although a small practice, Gartons attracted nationwide attention when Mike, working alongside his colleague Alison Ludwell, became the lead firm of solicitors in a civil claim against the London cab rapist John Worboys.

His involvement in the Worboys matter led to press coverage in a number of national newspapers:

Mike has, in addition to this, appeared in the press on the subject of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority ( the Guardian) and has also appeared on national TV to discuss such.

Mike has also appeared on local radio to discuss personal injury claims in general.

In addition to his legal work, Mike has a great interest in music and plays in an acoustic duo, The Brilliant Readers and can be seen on the Yorkshire gig circuit with alarming frequency.
